In 2015, the lean QR code management platform Capinfo built for urban public facilities of Beijing provides the whole city with services for collecting and sorting out data regarding public service facilities and mounting these facilities. Based on this platform, we have created “unique QR codes” for public service facilities of more than 90,000 urban roads in over 1,400 main streets and key areas in dozens of urban districts of Beijing, including Dongcheng District, Xicheng District, Fengtai District, Haidian District and Chaoyang District. The citizens have scanned the QR codes for more than 30,000 times and approximately reported 10,000 facility problems, of which more than 95% have been promptly responded. This platform has really improved lean management of components and development of the capital city. In 2021, the Specification for city code coding and application we prepared as participant based on creation of urban QR codes was formally released.
