The traditional Chinese Spring Festival of 2020 was destined to be an extraordinary year. It would have been time for family reunion, but COVID-19 was raging. As a state-owned company in Beijing, Capinfo joined all battle lines of Beijing to fight against the epidemic together. As guardian for informatization of government affairs in Beijing, Capinfo shouldered multiple missions in this national and municipal fight against the epidemic. Involved in a wide range of fields in this fight, it has acted as a loyal top army for first-line defense against the epidemic in Beijing - the capital of China.

Capinfo rushed ahead and the epidemic was just an order! In 2019, Capinfo, which had passed major trials for guaranteeing communication security of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and diplomatic activities of three major venues, perfectly fulfilled its missions. In face of urgent and critical epidemic prevention and control, it behaved accountable and moral. This elite group further shouldered the heavy mission for guaranteeing security of the government networks and systems, to ensure smooth communication of commands on arrangements for epidemic prevention and control all over Beijing.

Under the circumstances of epidemic prevention and control, Capinfo immediately built its own leading group for COVID-19 prevention and control under its unified command as a state-owned company. This group was made up of Lin Yankun (Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman), and Yu Donghui (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and CEO) acted as the group leader. They strictly deployed security guarantees for all information systems regarding government affairs and people’s livelihoods, including private government networks, video conference systems, government hotline for citizens (12345), medical insurance systems, government and enterprise cloud platforms, housing provident fund systems, and 96102 (Beijing municipal service hotline for social security cards). It dispatched special groups and personnel for these tasks. 260 people from Capinfo stuck to their posts to provide full 7*24h technical support to ensure security, stability and smoothness of all systems. They promptly responded to emergent tasks of epidemic prevention and control assigned by the municipal commission and government of Beijing, and supported their command over epidemic prevention and control with complete technologies so that the municipal commission and government could rest assured.
